2024-2025 Soccer Camps

The Glen Rock Soccer Club and United Soccer Academy (USA), the Club's training partner, are excited to announce a half day soccer camp from 9am-12noon during the 2024 November Break. This comprehensive week-long soccer camp is designed to teach your child new and different playing techniques, instill a love for the game, and be lots of fun!

Who: All players 5 - 14 years old

When: Monday-Fri during NJEA Convention

Time: 9am-12noon (8:40am early drop off available)

Location: Lower Faber artificial turf field, 320 Bill Gilligan Ln, Glen Rock, NJ

Price: $225 (Borough of Glen Rock field usage fee of $20 is not included)

This soccer camp gives players the opportunity to receive soccer instruction at a level that will both challenge them and ensure they have a fantastic experience at camp. Every camp is coached by USA's professional staff who are trained to encourage maximum participation, good sportsmanship, and above all - FUN!

Recreational level players will learn the fundamentals needed to become efficient soccer players, concentrating on their technical development including passing, first touch, and shooting.

Travel and academy players will learn more advanced technical skills while also working on the tactical side of the game. Players will develop both their decision making and strategic play in competitive match play situations.

Groups are separated by age and ability to ensure all players flourish in an optimum positive environment.

Is your player looking to continue playing a little longer? GRSC and USA are again partnering to offer three "extend-the-season" sessions for players Pre-K through 2nd grade. Sessions are 50 minutes each.

Extend-the-Season Soccer Sessions (Parent & Player, Pre-K through 2nd Grade) 

Players will learn soccer fundamental techniques in passing, dribbling, ball control, and shooting as well as tactics and game rules. This all takes place through a series of fun soccer challenges, structured activities, and scrimmages.

Who: Parent & Player (ages 2-3), and Pre-K through 2nd grade

When: First three weekends in December

Parent & Player (ages 2-3): A fun and positive introduction to soccer for young children with a helping hand from Mom or Dad!!

With a parent participating by their side, kids will have fun learning the fundamental skills of soccer through fun-based games and activities. This is an excellent opportunity for you to spend quality time together while easing your child into social situations with support and confidence.

Pre-K (ages 3-5): Players will learn the fundamental skills of soccer, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defending. Classes will include a series of fun challenges, structured activities, and scrimmages adapted to ensure everyone achieves success.

Kindergarten through 2nd grade: Each soccer session will focus on developing a particular skill or technique associated with the game of soccer including dribbling, passing, ball control, moves & turns, shielding the ball, positioning, and more. Players will learn the basic principles of soccer and will be encouraged to apply these skills to structured game scenarios, challenges, and scrimmages.

USA's professional soccer coaches will ensure that children are engaged in fun, inclusive activities, in a positive learning environment.

Your child will thrive in the exciting atmosphere generated by USA's internationally qualified coaches and love the daily themes, soccer development and soccer challenges. Our Spring Break Camp is perfect for players of all levels. 

To ensure that we develop future soccer stars, players are grouped together based on age and ability. This allows players to experience the excitement of soccer through the concepts of free play, self-expression and creative imagination by competing with players of equal ability.

Registration Opens Winter 2025.

The Club is again hosting Summer Weekly Instructional/Scrimmage sessions for players Pre-K through 8th grade.

Players will run through a skills and drills warm-up followed by small sided conditioned scrimmages. USA's professional trainers will coach the Topic of the Week in these small sided games. This class gives the players the chance to exhibit skills learned previously in game situations under the guidance of experienced trainers.

Returning for Summer 2025 - Soccer Series for players aged 10 - 14 years! In the Soccer Series, players practice for 1 hour, working through USA's developmental curriculum that has been expertly tailored to help players improve their ball control, receiving, turns, shooting and decision making. Players will then split into their fixed teams and play in competitive 30-minute games.

Who: Children aged Pre-K through 6th grade

Recreational level players will learn: 

•   The fundamentals needed to become efficient soccer players.
•   To concentrate more on their technical development (passing, first touch, and shooting).

Travel and academy players will learn:  

•   More advanced technical skills while also working on the tactical side of the game to develop both their decision making and strategic play in competitive match play situations.
